Cut the gutter from the bottom with a fine toothed hacksaw.
Cut holes in gutters.
On the bottom of the gutter itself take a pencil or marker and trace the outline of a sleeve.
Then i used a fine tooth metal cutting blade in my jig saw.
Once you cut the patch it may have sharp corners and edges.
Here you can see the shape of the downspout flange i had.
Place the blade in the 90 degree or right angle grooves of the miter box or on the line drawn with the square and cut the vinyl gutter firmly.
This one came with holes in it for rivets.
This is the thing that connects the gutter and downspout together so it is important that it is placed correctly and securely.
Step 1 is to draw the shape of the hole and drill s few holes around that shape.
If the patch isn t already small enough to lay flat against the inside of the gutter and over the hole cut it down to size with your metal snips.
